Heather you comment about candles got me thinking about taking some pictures, so this is what I came up with. :) Definatly used a tripod to keep the shot from getting blurry. Not sure I totally love it, but it is a start.
I like it very much Heidi. It is soft and moody, exactly the way the warmth of a candle should make you feel! I hope you are learning to love that tripod :-) Heather
This shot is really good, i like the wick in it. It stands out. I know that it is hard to do candle shots. I have tried, tried, and tried. Never satisified, but keep trying and you will get one that you totally love. It is good though. :)
This is me ... Heidi. :) My love of photography started years ago when our first daughter was born. As I started scrapbooking the pictures, I relized I wanted to take better pictures to put in my album, but didn't know how. It wasn't until I received my Canon Rebel XTi that photography became a passion of mine. I currently have the Canon EF-S 17-85mm 1:4-5.6 IS USM lens, EF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 IS USM lens, Speedlite 580 II flash and my software is CS3, Lightroom 2. I hope my enjoyment of photography shows and it inspires you as well. :)

I'm Heather of Heather Ann Photography. I shoot with a Canon 5D. I spend a great deal of time editing my images with textures and vintage effects in CS4. What started out as a hobby has become a creative passion that expresses itself in finding the beauty that surrounds. Photography has caused me to slow down, examine and appreciate the little things that we take for granted each day.

Oh wow! That is beautiful. Drama and warmth. Please keep practicing. I would even frame and display something like this.

Very unique. I love how you can see the reflection in the hot wax. Great job getting close. Love it!
