Heather #1

shabbychic

I traveled all over the neighborhood looking for just the right shot for today's post, but came home rather uninspired. As I sat in the comfort of my living room, I started noting all of the beauty that was right in front of me. I took this shot with natural backlight from a window which picked up on the cut glass creating an elegant sparkle. My camera was set to Aperture Priority Mode, f3.5, ISO400. I adjusted the fill light just a tad in Lightroom.

Really pretty. Do you know what AV stands for? I don't have that mode on my camera. I love the natural lighting. It kept the colors so soft and delicate. And I'm sure I could find many beautiful things to photograph in your house!!

Love it! You have a ton of inspiration in living room and you did a great job at capturing the beauty of just one spot! :)

"Av" stands for Aperture value (or aperture priority). It is what will make your background clear (f/22) or blurry (f/5.6). It is also called the "F stop". When stating the aperture, you usually just say "f(insert # value)".
