Heidi #100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O.k., we will get back to the wedding pics in a couple of days. As you can see this is my 100th post, so I had to post a picture that I took and processed. Ever since I took my photography class back in May of 2008, I have had a goal. My teacher made a comment that it was extremely difficult to stop the wings of a humming bird because they moved so quickly. You had to have your shutter set to 1/1000 to get a good shot. Well, that requires A LOT of light as well. I have been practicing at my mom's house and my mother-in-laws house. I think I finally got a half way decent shot. So, for my 100th post here is a picture of a goal I set for myself and obtained. I am sure in the future I will take a better picture of a humming bird, but I am pretty proud of this picture:

That is a really nice shot Heidi. I know how difficult it is. I have tried this and on a blue bird while on vacation. Should email that very hard, and not good at all. Great job on catching the wings. Picture looks great.
