This was taken outside my MIL's back door. Obviously it is winter and dead, but I thought it made an interesting shot. :) I love the sunlight and how warm it looks.

Wow... thanks for your patience with me :) If it's not one thing, it's another. I've entered the Design Challenge at ScrapMatters. Eeek! I'm scared. But couldn't pass up the opportunity. I'll let you know how it goes. Anyway, my post for today (tonight) is from the cemetery. Is this not the sadest little headstone? It was a family plot with this little one in with the bunch. If I remember right, the others were early 1900's. I took quite a few pics and will be posting in the coming days... hopefully :)

I am seriously going to milk these cupcakes for all they are worth. I took enough shots... trying to find different looks. This is my mom's special cake plate that is purple in the indoor light and blue when it gets in the sun. So pretty :)

While shooting at my MIL's activity center, this little guy almost went unnoticed. I love that he is determined to grow.

I had to take pics the other day at the Cemetery for a listing we had on Craig's List and on the way saw this little flag just flapping in the wind.

Maddie, Pete and I went for a walk by the creek to feed the ducks. It was a good thing I brought my camera, because the overcast sky made for some really nice portrait lighting.

I took this picture in Napa... yes, it's colorized to give it a shabby chic look.

This was a grouping of flowers from when I was taking pictures of Cassie one time. I loved the range of colors that were mixed together.

One my last lonely scented pinecones from Christmas. I tried taking some outdoors but they just did not turn out. This one is sitting on my kitchen table. I seem to the best light there.

I took this picture in Napa. The grapevines are still bare, but the mustard flowers are beginning to bloom. It was a misty morning, and I was able to capture some of the fog as it was lifting.

Thank you for being patient with me :) I think I'm back now. Tim's doing really well. He'll be recovering for the next couple weeks but things should go pretty much back to normal.

I sorta impromptu-ly ?? took pictures at Sara Clark's surprise birthday party at the church. I decided at the last minute to take my camera and good thing cuz not a one of the family members had theirs. I loved this shot when she first walked in the room.

Everytime I drive by our park, it is beautifully covered with frost. This last week, I stopped to take a picture, but the frost was already melting by the time I got there. I don't have time to go earlier (school day), so I made it into a landscape picture instead. :)

Call me weird, but I just love taking pictures of old things! I love the way time effects our surroundings, and the unique character that only age can bring about.

I was practicing taking close up pictures of the alysum, when this little guy flew right in the middle of my shot! I think he knew I needed a subject to photograph, so he graciously sat there for a few seconds. :)

Pray for Cyndi

Cyndi will not be posting today due to her husband Tim is in the hospital. He is having his appendix removed, so please keep them in your prayers. We believe we serve an AWESOME God who is in control and is healing Tim as I write this! Thanks for your understanding. :)

I took this picture at a nursery we visited recently. They had a beutiful coi fish pond surrounded by this amazing forest of bamboo. The bamboo was shaded, but the light filtered in creating this really pretty lighting effect.

Here is another rose shot. The sun was setting fast therefore, one of the roses is in the shade. I still liked how it turned out though. :)
