Heather #60

Here are a few of my favorite shots from a recent Baby Studio Session. I was so fortunate to be working with this happy little creature, she didn't fuss one little bit- even when we were putting big huge flower hats on her head :-)

You guys, I am so sorry! I'm sure you're tired of hearing this. I totally spaced. I'm tagging on the end of Heidi's day. Thanks Heidi :)

Here is another shot of the flowers ... this time I wasnt' on the ground. ;) I love how the white contrasts the purple. Very pretty flowers ... I might have to find them myself and plant them. :)

Another Sr. Portrait shot, different location. We walked across the street to Williamland park for this shot, such a pretty place to have pictures taken!

Heidi #60 Dedicated to Julia :)

I had to lay down on the black top to get this shot. These flowers were in flower pot at our church. I loved how the sun was hitting them, so I tried for a different angle and this is what I got! :) Julia ... I thought I would post this one. :) You will see the other shot later.

Two of my favorite pictures from a recent Sr. Portrait Session. The young man in the picture is an accomplished pianist. I think these shots captured his personality well.

While eating dinner the other night, this guy flew into our neighbors tree. Of course I ran to get my camera. It is not every day you see a hawk in your own backyard.

Does anyone recognize this building? I drove by the other night and all the lights were on but there were no cars. I went home, grabbed the camera and came back. Wow... harder than I thought it would be.

I almost put this one off too long. I kept driving by this magnolia tree to get some pictures, and when I finally got around to it, the blooms were almost spent. A good lesson in getting that shot at the moment you're inspired to do so, or you might just lose it.

Again, my MIL has a ton of inspiration at her house. These were on her dinning room table.

Same photo ... different treatment in lightroom. Which do you like?

(Sneaking one in here before Heidi's is scheduled to post ;) This was from Elizabeth's senior recital. Hard conditions... no flash, tons of heads in the way, constant movement. I bumped my ISO way up and tried to steady myself as much as possible and pick my spots to shoot. This was a great spot. Jake surprised her at the end with a ring and a proposal. It was fun :)

My landscape shots are going to really pale compared to both of your recent photo shoot pics. But I have a few left so I'm posting them :)

My studio is finally open ! I have some amazing backdrops and furniture that really displays the style and personality of the work I do. If anyone is interested in having their kids model for me, please leave a comment or email me about scheduling a studio session.

I recently did a photo shot for Cassie's teacher and her family. This is one of her daughter Jenna. :) I love the look on her face.

Another shot from my mishap last week. I guess I'll just go ahead an plan on posting them. They seem to clean up pretty well in PS.

These bright white freesias caught my eye the other day. Their blooms are short lived, and their fragrance is so sweet, I was glad to catch them in full bloom. No color processing, I used my polarizing filter for the deep blues and greens.

I love the dramatic look of this picture. It isn't something you would normally see ... but because we can be "creative" on the blog, I thought this was fun. ;)

These are a couple of the shots from last week, when I inadvertently left the filter on my lens. I was able to redeem them some in Photoshop but if you look too closely, they're pretty blurry. I was planning to retake them this week, but when I went in to work ALL these white flowers on the tree were gone. Still some very pretty flowers though. I'll have to take some more next week.
